Wie ist es möglich, Welten inmitten der Klimakatastrophe zu schaffen? MELT (Ren
Loren Britton & Iz Paehr) entwickelt eine Struktur aus Holz-Elementen, die ineinander
gesetzt werden und unterschiedlichste Formen annehmen kann. Dieses rekombinierbare Gefüge wurde im Kontext von trans*-Methoden der Variabilität, Multiplizität und einer autistischen Ästhetik von Fließzuständen (flowing) und sprachlichen Anordnungen (scripting) aufgebaut. Es birgt ein fließendes Jutegewebe und die Besucher*innen sind eingeladen, gemeinsam mit den Künstler*innen zu sticken.
In das Gewebe sind Szenen aus trans* und autistischen Erzählungen wie Octavia Butlers
Die Parabel vom Sämann gestickt. Hier werden visuell und haptisch Geschichten
zusammengetragen und erzählt, es werden Träume geteilt, in denen Öko-Ableismus
entgegengetreten wird. Welche Zugänge bleiben in den Debatten um die Klimakatastrophe unbeachtet? Was bedeutet radikale Klimagerechtigkeit? Es ist an der Zeit, Geschichten zu teilen und weiterzuerzählen, in denen ein Aufblühen füreinander und in Verbindung mit unserer Umwelt praktiziert wird.

How to make worlds amidst climate catastrophe? MELT (Ren Loren Britton & Iz Paehr)
develops a recombinable structure of wooden elements that can be placed within each
other and take on many different forms. This infrastructure was built in the context
of trans* methods of variability & multiplicity and autistic aesthetics of scripting &
flowing. It holds a flowing jute fabric and visitors are invited to embroider together with
the artists.
Embroidered into the weave are scenes of trans* and autistic stories such as Octavia
Butler’s Parable of the Sower. Here, visually and haptically, stories are gathered and
told, dreams against eco-ableism are collected and shared,. What approaches go
unnoticed in the debates about climate catastrophe? What does radical climate justice
mean? It is time to share and continue telling stories in which flourishing for each other
and in connection with our environment is practiced.
